As Flax fibres are particularly strong and have good resistance to water rot, especially salt water, this packing is suitable for
centrifugal and reciprocating pumps handling slimes and slurries which are mildly corrosive.
Will not harden or burn when used on high speed shafts due to the unique DOULON® compound lubricant and is the preferred
compression packing for Stern tube and marine applications.
